The four DISC styles
DISC describes four styles of behaving and communicating. Most people are a blend, with one or two that lead:
Dominance
· Direct & drivenYou're direct, decisive, and results-focused. You take charge, move fast toward goals, and aren't afraid of challenge or confrontation.
Influence
· Outgoing & persuasiveYou're enthusiastic, sociable, and persuasive. You connect easily with people, inspire and motivate, and bring optimism and energy.
Steadiness
· Patient & supportiveYou're patient, dependable, and cooperative. You value stability and harmony, listen well, and make steady, reliable progress.
Conscientiousness
· Precise & analyticalYou're precise, analytical, and systematic. You value accuracy and quality, think things through, and do things the right way.
How this DISC test works
DISC is a widely used workplace framework, but it isn't a research-validated instrument, and there is no single public-domain DISC questionnaire. So instead of inventing questions, we measure your personality with the validated, public-domain IPIP-50 Big Five and translate the result into the four DISC dimensions using their established correspondence to the Five-Factor Model. You get a practical communication-style read built on a scientifically sound foundation — not a black box.
